Buena Park, CA – February 12, 2024 – Speech and Language Development Center (SLDC), a premier non-public school and therapy center dedicated to assisting children and adults with special needs in language, learning, and behavior, proudly announces the receipt of a $142,000 grant from the Inland Empire Community Foundation through the Riverside County Nonprofit Assistance Fund program. This generous funding is earmarked for the Early Intervention program at SLDC’s Temecula Clinic, with a focus on expanding developmental screenings, increasing client services, and enhancing community partnerships.

The grant aims to address three critical goals: to augment the rate of developmental screenings, thereby facilitating earlier connections to services for infants and toddlers, such as speech therapy and occupational therapy; to expand the clientele receiving these vital services; and to improve and increase partnerships within the community, including with regional centers, healthcare providers, and early childhood educators.

Adrienne Kessler, CEO of SLDC, expressed gratitude and vision for the grant’s impact, stating, “We are immensely grateful for the Inland Empire Community Foundation’s support, which enables us to extend our reach and impact within the community. This grant not only allows us to serve more families but also strengthens our network of partnerships, ensuring that children in need receive timely and effective intervention. Together, we are setting a foundation for their future success.”

SLDC’s Early Intervention program at the Temecula Clinic is designed to meet the increasing need for specialized services in the region, providing a critical bridge between early detection of developmental delays and access to intervention services. By enhancing and expanding this program, SLDC aims to ensure that more infants and toddlers benefit from early support, setting them on a path to achieving their full potential.
